Upcycling Art: Kushel x Schaffenslust
FROM A FLUFFY TOWEL TO FLASHY ART
A second chance for discarded towels:
Because no towel deserves to be thrown away. Together with the artist "Schaffenslust" from Hamburg, we are giving our returns a second life - as a colourful art object.
In twenty absolute masterpieces, Kushel towels with small flaws are lovingly handcrafted into unique artistic pieces. Because even imperfections are valuable! And the great thing is: you can buy them!

ABOUT SCHAFFENSLUST
Made and designed in St.Pauli - the magnificent artist Anika Schilling has been creating colourful wall objects made of wool, terry cloth, cardboard and other fabrics under the name Schaffenslust for over 20 years. Her art combines so many things: graffiti, embroidery art, wit and lots of wild imagination.
Anika Schilling has already published three DIY books and has been part of the URBAN ART EDITION exhibition several times. We have been head over heels in love since the exhibition 100 BLICKWINKEL MILLERNTOR GALLERY, when we stood in front of her tufted picture, which looked very much like our terry cloth.
Schaffenslust has made it possible to give the individual, not-so-perfect, towels a beautiful added value.
THE ART OF TUFTING
EVERY ART PIECE PLANTS TREES
For every picture sold, we at Kushel donate 10 trees, which we have planted with certified partners.
Twenty individual wall objects can now be purchased in the Schaffenslust webshop. All proceeds go to the artist.
