Pflegehinweise

Please wash the blanket in the wool program. The blanket absorbs a lot of water when washed; we also use the wood fibres for our towels. We recommend spinning the blanket after washing and drying it in a tumble dryer on a low setting for up to 20 min.With each wash, the soft pile will change a little, this is a characteristic of all textiles made from natural fibres. We have deliberately chosen not to add fibres made from polymers, as these would cause microplastics in the wash water with every wash.

The Kushel Blanket is made from soft beech wood and rainfed organic cotton. This mix makes it long-lasting soft, vegan, and heat-regulating. It saves over 97% of water and 44% of CO2 emissions compared to a blanket made of conventional cotton.

Make the Kushel blanket your daily companion. The innovative Kushel Blanket is as thermo-regulating as a wool blanket, but it's incredibly gentle on your skin and vegan. It is suitable for allergy sufferers and does not need to be washed before first skin contact.

The new Kushel blanket "Woven" has an increased grammage and is perfect for especially cosy winter days. Two or even three different coloured yarns create a high-quality mottled weave structure in honeycomb form. These roughened honeycombs create a uniquely soft surface structure that strokes your skin and senses.

SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS

Covered with a good feeling

Our organic cotton field is irrigated exclusively by natural rainy seasons. It is located in Tanzania on a plateau and does not need any additional irrigation.

The beech trees grow without the use of fertilisers, pesticides or artificial irrigation in Austria. Every tree is reforested.

The Kushel yarn is spun under fair conditions in Portugal. The blankets are woven, finished and pre-washed at a traditional company in Germany. We do not only guarantee the highest sustainability standards, but also fair wages and safe working conditions.
